I am a longtime resident of Elmont and I want to see the South Lot developed. Mayor Tweedy is showing us a very dark side of Floral Park where rumors and half truths pass off as fact. I have read his articles online. His arguments are shallow. He really believe that people will buy into his line of his roads will decay and water system can't handle it? He uses the phrase a "segment of the community" in that pejorative phrasing with a bar? It's digusting. Please. Tweedy knows that any development is a half mile away and it does not impact the Village. His outright lie of a casino going near the Floral Park schools is outrageous. Does this guy not think we have a map? Message to Tweedy, your Mayor's message belongs in the Enquirer not a legitimate newspaper.
