Elmont Memorial High School Students Among Top Long Island Art Students to Showcase Artwork at LIU Post Art Gallery

IMAG0292Although they have yet to graduate high school, Victoria Alvarez and Vishal Singh are among the artistic elite. The talented Elmont Memorial High School students are among a select group of top art students on Long Island who have been selected to participate in a special exhibit titled, “Advanced Visions VIII: High School Artists of Excellence in Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn and Queens Counties.” The exhibit, sponsored by the LIU Post Art Department, highlights the superb skill and expressive content of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Portfolio Preparation art students. The exhibit is an amazing display of creative expression representing the artwork of 50 talented students from 36 schools throughout Long Island. Victoria Alvarez and Vishal Singh will be honored at a reception and awards presentation will be held at the LIU Post Art Gallery.  Students and staff at Elmont Memorial High School congratulate Victoria and Vishal on their achievement.

Elmont School District Jazz Masters, Elmont Memorial High School and the Sewanhaka Central High School District also participated in this years' 9th Annual Elmont Online - Highlighting Success, Inc. Black History Month Celebration.
